– Free Fan Event on June 13 at Funan Mall Will Feature Live Viewing of Game 3
of the 2024 NBA Finals Between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks –
SINGAPORE, June 5, 2024 – The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced that NBA Champions and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Gary Payton and Ray Allen will travel to Singapore to headline an NBA Finals viewing party on Thursday, June 13 at Funan mall.
The free event for fans of all ages will feature a live viewing of Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks. Operated by TND Global Events, the event will tip off at 7:30 a.m. SGT ahead of the start of Game 3 and will also feature the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy on display and opportunities for fans to win NBA-themed prizes. Additionally, a roster of local celebrities and content creators are scheduled to make appearances throughout the weekend. Fans can register to attend by visiting www.nba.com/SGFinals24.

On Tuesday, June 11, the NBA will also host a Jr. NBA clinic for 50 boys and girls ages 10-12 at Dover Court International School, which will be attended by Payton.
Nicknamed “The Glove” for his defensive prowess, Payton had a storied NBA career spanning 17 seasons, winning an NBA Championship with the Miami Heat in 2006 and being named NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 1996, to go along with nine NBA All-Star selections and nine NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. Payton was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
A 6’5” shooting guard, Allen was drafted No. 5 overall in the 1996 NBA Draft and went on to win two NBA championships during his 18-year career, with the Boston Celtics in 2008 and with the Miami Heat in 2013. The 10-time NBA All-Star retired as the all-time leader in three-point field goals before the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry surpassed his record in 2021. Allen was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.
